To enable the JDP/Caritas on National Level to make impact
in the socio economic justice issues in Nigeria and to
advocate for interventions which will bring about economic
empowerment and integral human development.
To build capacity of Church workers in the area of socio
economic justice programmes.
- Identify and prioritise key issues that will demand interventions in the socio economic sector.
- Analyse and document research findings in collaboration with the Think tank as it concerns programme area.
- Prepare strategic work plan for the proposed interventions
- Identify and develop advocacy needs/tools and carry out advocacy activities with relevant stakeholders.
- Identify personnel and network with all the 9 Provinces and relevant dioceses in the programme area
- Build the capacity of JDP/Caritas workers at all levels
- Develop projects within programme area and facilitate or coordinate implementation of same.
- Collect, analyse and document project activity reports from dioceses/provinces
- Prepare periodic and final reports on projects
- Identify relevant agencies and network with them to broaden the horizon of JDP/Caritas Nigeria in all areas of socio economic justice.
- Source for funds in accordance with CSN regulations to implement projects
- undertake field visits for the job purpose
- Inform JDP/C staff about external training programs, conferences, other important events, available training materials, online resources and specialist books in the field of socio economic justice programmes.
- participate actively in team meetings and other National JDP/C events
- Any other duty as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor

The Programme Manager on Socio Economic Justice Is answerable to the Secretary JDP/Caritas while
maintaining a constructive working relationship with all other JDP/Caritas staff and in CSN.
Excellent Organisational and Managerial skills.
Ability to work responsibly and innovatively with low
degree of supervision
Basic knowledge, understanding and interest of
Catholic Social Teachings
Enjoy good health
Excellent research, Writing/facilitating and
Presentation skills
